Hello, if you're here it's because you've stumbled upon this local initiative we're promoting in Alcocebre. Thank you for reading, and please help us collect signatures and reach more people.
We've been skateboarders for many years, skating the streets of Alcossebre and Alcalà de Xivert, and now we've created the Alcocebre Skateboarding Association to promote and encourage skateboarding.

A skatepark would bring to our town a safe and attractive space for sports practice and youth leisure, encouraging healthy habits, energizing social life, and attracting visitors interested in sports tourism throughout the year.
Benefits of having a sports association in a tourist town:
Promotes youth participation and social cohesion between residents and visitors.
Organizes activities and events that increase tourist flow outside the high season.
Gives visibility to the town as a healthy and sports-oriented destination.
Collaborates with local commerce and the hospitality sector, generating a positive economic impact.
Encourages values such as respect, teamwork, and an active lifestyle across all ages.
In Alcalà de Xivert there's a small, old halfpipe, but our goal is to promote the creation of a modern skatepark—modest but useful and fun—for practicing this Olympic sport, which will be featured for the first time at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

In Alcossebre, we find many incentives and opportunities to energize and build a skateboarding community thanks to our Mediterranean climate and the wonderful sea and mountain environment we have.
If you're interested in joining the ASA, don't hesitate to contact us through social media. We'll be stronger together; there's strength in numbers :)
Cheers, stay strong, and Skate Or Die!
